1% Every Minute on BTC Is Unrealistic — Expect Fees, Slippage and Competition

I wouldn't expect to reliably make 1% every minute or every five minutes on Binance spot. I’ve seen BTC move 1% intra-minute sometimes, but capturing that repeatedly ignores fees, spreads, slippage and order-book depth.

In my experience, market micro-movements are noisy and competed for by algorithms and market makers, so execution is rarely perfect; trading costs and failed fills often wipe out the tiny edges you think you see.

I would rather backtest any high-frequency idea, simulate execution with realistic fees and latency, and start with paper trading. If you still pursue it, automate, use strict risk controls, and accept that frequent small losses or a single large move can destroy returns.
