I believe Bitcoin's decentralization and immutable timestamps improve transparency and make post-election alteration far harder, though this approach does not itself record votes and raises privacy, scalability and legal-integration questions.

I recommend more controlled pilots, independent audits and published protocols so blockchain proofs complement traditional election controls rather than replace them.
