Crypto Altcoin Season: Stay Realistic and Maintain a Personal Trading Plan

I believe we shouldn't get caught up in euphoria. Altcoins are essentially worthless. I'm not implying that I dismiss the growth potential of altcoins; instead, I think it's crucial to develop a personal trading plan rather than speculate on how others might feel about the market. Recently, I spoke with a popular cryptocurrency blogger, well-known to everyone in this chat. During our conversation, he confidently said, "Altcoin season will happen again, just like in 2017 and 2021." When I asked him on what basis he made such predictions, he replied simply, "Because altcoins had strong seasons in those years." While he's knowledgeable, such thinking can be dangerous. It’s important to create a clear exit plan and understand what level of altcoin growth is realistic versus what signals an overbought or irrational market. Even if Stellar (StarkNet) reaches a dollar, personally, I consider that a significant milestone—more than enough for me. I have targets higher up, but that doesn't mean I will hold on blindly to those expectations without adjusting my strategy according to market realities. In my view, focusing on realistic goals and maintaining discipline in managing positions is essential. Reacting to hype without a solid plan leads to unnecessary risks. Instead, I recommend establishing predefined entry and exit points based on sound analysis rather than market sentiment or past cycles which may not repeat exactly. This approach helps safeguard your investments against the volatility and emotional swings common in the crypto space.
