Crypto skepticism: no currency success yet, even Bitcoin

I’m skeptical about crypto’s ability to function as a currency, and I’m not convinced any project has proven it yet—not even Bitcoin. The volatility, scalability hurdles, and ongoing debates around adoption keep me from seeing crypto as a reliable medium of exchange or a stable store of value at this point.

Until there’s clear real-world usage, consistent transaction efficiency, and broadly accepted stability, I remain cautious. The narrative around crypto as currency hasn’t translated into tangible, everyday practicality for most users or merchants.
