Discerning copy trading on high-risk platforms and the value of organic growth
I already mentioned this earlier in the post: the platform promotes high-risk traders with big win rates who end up losing money every couple of months, rather than stable traders. There’s a slim chance of breaking through if I can hit a “gold” status—keeping at least 10k in capital, signing up for roughly 10k per week in total, and keeping drawdowns under 15%. Otherwise, the odds that I’ll be promoted or noticed are minimal. The path is to grow my own follower base organically. Copy trading is nice as a bonus, but my plan is to invest salaries over about a year and a half. Social media and followers serve primarily as motivation to stay disciplined, not to rely on the platform as a crutch for gambling.
