ETH likely range-bound short-term — watch catalysts for a breakout

I don't think ETH will necessarily stay in the exact same price range for long — short-term range-bound action is possible, but a breakout or breakdown can happen when macro or on-chain catalysts arrive. I see periods of low volatility followed by quick moves driven by liquidity, options expiries, or news.

I focus on a few triggers: BTC direction, US macro data, regulatory headlines, and Ethereum-specific events (staking flows, ETF decisions, protocol upgrades). Any of those can force ETH out of a range quickly.

For now I am monitoring volume, open interest in options, and large wallet activity before changing exposure — I prefer to wait for a clean breakout or buy on weakness with defined risk rather than assume the range will persist.

Recommendation

I recommend watching for clear breakout or breakdown signals and managing risk with stops; consider buying on weakness or adding on a confirmed breakout rather than assuming the range holds indefinite...
