Exchanges Are Built Like Casinos — The House Has a Structural Edge
I believe cryptocurrency exchanges function like modern casinos: the system is built so the house keeps an edge through fees, spreads, custody control and information asymmetry.
Because of that structural advantage, I treat exchanges with caution — I prefer self-custody when possible, use limit orders, and limit leverage or exposure on custodial platforms.
