Expect 10 Minutes Per Confirmation — Check TXID, Fee, and Use RBF/CPFP If Stuck

I usually expect swaps that are internal to an exchange or custodial wallet to settle in seconds to a few minutes; on-chain Bitcoin swaps depend on block confirmations and typically take about 10 minutes per confirmation.

For most services I see 1–6 confirmations required (roughly 10–60 minutes). If your fee was low or the network is congested, it can stretch to several hours or longer; very low-fee transactions can remain pending for days until confirmed or dropped.

I recommend checking the transaction ID on a block explorer, comparing the sat/vB fee to current mempool fees, and using RBF/CPFP if supported or contacting the service if it remains unconfirmed beyond an hour for exchange/internal swaps or beyond a few hours for on-chain sends.
