ILC Long-Term Perspective Amid Stagnant Price: When to Hold or Sell

I was surprised to hear back from you, and I appreciate how thorough and responsible your reply was. It reinforced my view that you take your work seriously, and I’m grateful for that. I don’t dispute your points, but I want to share a perspective from many retail investors like me who’ve been in the ILC ecosystem for years. I first discovered the crypto market through ILC (before 2019) and have held a long-term belief in ILC alone. You’re right about analyzing investment risks and deciding an acceptable level of loss. We’ve been part of the ILC community for nearly seven years as of August 2025, enduring a price path from 0.0x to 0.00x to 0.000x. So what happens next? For a long time, we’ve seen no positive updates from the DEVs, and the price has been suppressed around 0.000x. I understand the DEV focus on technology, yet ILC is already a decade old, and we’ve endured >7 years of risk. How much longer should we wait? Two paths seem possible given our circumstances: 1) We continue to believe in a big future for ILC and wait, even as the DEVs provide mostly slogans like “don’t sell cheap,” “play games” (for entertainment, with no ILC rewards yet), and “promote ILC” while the price stays suppressed. The developers need a living; we, who depend on ILC for survival, ask how much longer this should go on. 2) Since losses have crossed our tolerance, we may have to sell at a low price to recover something, knowing that the outcome—ILC’s future success or failure—could still result in a total loss. That would be painful, no matter the eventual outcome. I’m not blaming anyone; investing in ILC was my choice, and I accept responsibility. Still, I’ve learned a hard truth: marketing can push people to buy while buyers must do due diligence, assess risk, and set loss limits. The promises of “big news” in late 2023, 2024, or early 2025 now look like marketing rather than certainty. I believed in those timelines and placed high hopes on them. Now the price remains around 0.000x, and patience wears thin. If I hold on too long, my ability to endure grows even weaker. That’s my point. If you were in my shoes, what would you do? I’d genuinely appreciate any practical, heartfelt guidance from your experience. Thanks to everyone reading this and to you for taking the time to consider my situation.
