Lighter DEX: A New Contender in Perpetual Futures with Promising Incentives

Lighter is a decentralized exchange (DEX) focused on perpetual futures trading built on its own zk-powered Layer 2 solution, offering nearly zero trading fees. Although official fundraising details are undisclosed, notable investors like a16z and Lightspeed are associated with the project, indicating confidence from major VC firms. Currently, Lighter’s Total Value Locked (TVL) stands at $159 million, with daily trading volume surpassing $1 billion, ranking it second among DEXes after HyperLiquid. The platform employs a points system for trading incentives, converting points into project tokens, with 30%–50% allocated to the community via a Token Generation Event (TGE). Weekly, 250,000 points are distributed for trading and liquidity provision, and a link is provided for the farming points. As a project in closed beta, early access is available through referrals with limited users, promising a farming period of no more than four months. The team shows solid fundamentals, supported by development efforts, and intends to compete with HyperLiquid, with the founder promising significant token rewards at TGE.
