I remember when Ordinals first appeared on Bitcoin — there was a real race to launch a marketplace fast.

I was building one for a client and finished at the same time as ME. Their team, working out of an Airbnb with more resources, clearly produced a cleaner product than my setup in a dark apartment fueled by energy drinks.

A few other teams even finished earlier, but ME ultimately ate the market thanks to their budgets and existing brand muscle.
