Monero: Great Privacy Tool but Weak Store of Value
I think Monero is impressive technology — its privacy and fungibility features are genuinely valuable for on-chain trading and transactions.
However, its effectively unlimited supply creates ongoing inflationary pressure, which makes it a poor long-term store of value in my view.
I treat Monero like a useful tool: worth holding in small amounts for privacy or transactional needs, but not something I’d buy as a core long-term investment.
Analysis
Recommendation
I wouldn’t buy Monero as a core long-term investment; keep only a small allocation for transactional or privacy needs and avoid large speculative positions.
