My Personal Crypto Journey Starting from 2017 with Binance

The journey into cryptocurrencies began in 2017, during my school days when I was just 12 years old. At that time, Binance didn't exist in Sri Lanka. Since I completed A/Ls in IT, I purchased a computer, and someone in my village told me that making money from the internet through such platforms was possible. I was exposed to scams and questionable ads, but then I watched a YouTube video by Crypto Foxx, which sparked my interest. It was then I became a 'Crypto Enthusiast'. Today, I have learned about Binance and other exchanges mainly through the videos of Naleer and Dilip from Angeles, especially those by Crypto Foxx. My entry into crypto was supported by the members of the 'Crypto Kally' community, who helped me understand the crypto field. When I started with crypto, the only well-known exchange was Binance; other DEXs and CEXs were also known, but Binance was globally recognized. As of the 14th, there was a big event, and many are aware of Binance's worldwide user base. I registered on Binance on December 23, 2017. At that time, I didn't have an English name on my ID card, so I used my passport for KYC. Initially, I participated in BitcoinTalk bounty programs to earn tokens and coins. The rewards and exchanges from those days allowed me to use Binance extensively. Back then, Binance offered only basic features, but now it has many services including staking, futures trading, launch pools, Binance Pay, and P2P payments. Binance Web3 also offers airdrops. After my A/Ls, I temporarily paused my crypto activities, but since 2023, I have engaged more actively, participating in Testnet, Mainnet, and airdrops. Crypto has not only been about money but also about making good friends. This is how I became associated with Binance, and my crypto journey continues. #CryptoJourneyLK
