TON Foundation Strengthens Team with Visa Veteran to Expand Global Payments

The TON Foundation has expanded its team by appointing former Visa top executive Nikola Plecas, who will serve as Vice President of Payments Strategy. His previous roles included leadership positions in Visa Crypto, managing the launch of new crypto products across Europe and developing the crypto business in the region. Plecas will now lead the global development of TON's payment infrastructure, including partnerships with Telegram Mini Apps and compliance strategy. Key focuses include easing fiat-crypto bridges and enhancing user experience within the ecosystem. Recently, the foundation assembled a team of industry leaders: CEO Manuel Stotz, Venture Investor and former Kingsway Capital partner; Head of Growth Martin Messer, with experience at Revolut; and VP of Payments Nikola Plecas. TON is emphasizing the creation of a scalable payment infrastructure, leveraging its integration with Telegram and expert team expansion, all aimed at bringing Web3 technology closer to millions worldwide.
