Why Altcoins Aren't Rallying: Liquidity, BTC Dominance, and Missing Catalysts
I think altcoins aren’t rising because broader market conditions and Bitcoin’s dominance are limiting risk appetite. Without stable BTC price action, liquidity often stays concentrated in Bitcoin and stablecoins rather than rotating into smaller tokens.
I also see a lack of fresh catalysts, weak trading volume, regulatory uncertainty, and muted on-chain activity as key reasons. Many projects need clear upgrades, listings, or narrative momentum to attract new capital.
From my perspective, a genuine altcoin rally typically requires sustained BTC stability or a clear rotation out of BTC, plus sector-specific news (DeFi, AI, layer-2s) and rising exchange/trading volumes to confirm demand.
