Missed Monero Buy Leads to FOMO and a $4k Late Entry
I told my friend to buy Monero earlier, but he didn’t want to. When the price hit $400 he panicked into FOMO and dropped about $4,000 into the position.
It’s a classic late-entry move — I feel like he lost the chance to buy cheaper and bought emotionally instead of with a plan.
Analysis
Late entries driven by FOMO often result in buying near local highs and taking on unnecessary short-term downside risk; having a predefined entry strategy or using DCA would have reduced that outcome.
